ABOUt ME
I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2006 with a first-class degree from UWE, Bristol. My many years in the NHS started in Torbay as a junior physiotherapist before taking up specialist musculoskeletal positions in Barnet & Chase Farm and Hammersmith & Fulham. Concurrently I have worked in private practice, for an academy with a professional football club, and in amateur rugby.
For the past 9 years I have been based in Sussex and have worked as an advanced practitioner in persistent pain and orthopaedic MSK clinics. I have also been a clinical contributer to postgraduate pain modules at the University of Brighton and St George's University.
During my career, I have always been fascinated in how our injuries have unique effects on us which led me to complete a Masters degree in Psychology with distinction in 2017. My area of interest focused on how our psychological characteristics can impact on our perception of pain.
Outside of work I enjoy keeping fit, having completed an ironman triathlon and over 25 marathons although more recently, time is better spent with my young family.

I started my clinic as I feel I can use my experience and skills to not only assess and treat your acute or chronic pains, injuries and joint conditions, but in some circumstances where traditional treatments have failed we could consider taking a different approach to how the problems are managed.
Through an understanding of the underlying structures, physiological healing processes and psychological components to pain, I hope to optimise recovery from whatever injury someone is suffering with.
